Children's Programs
Getting Ready for Kindergarten
- The library is offering this program for 4 and 5 year old pre-Kindergarteners and their
families. They are invited to
this once-a-month program geared towards prepping kids
for their upcoming school adventures! Stories and activities will provide
a fun and inviting preparation for kindergarten along with an introduction to
the "Getting Ready for Kindergarten" Calendar. Each child will receive his
or her own calendar developed around the eight areas of learning identified as
the Rhode Island Early Learning Standards. Programs will be on the 4th
Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Registration is
required.
Registration is required for the following programs. Please ask at the Children's Desk or call the library at 353-5600 x 4 for more information.
Baby and Me Program - 20 minute class filled with simple stories, nursery rhymes, knee bouncing, songs and finger
plays. For ages birth to 23 months. Meets on Fridays at 10:30 am.
Toddler Times 2 - Stories, rhymes, finger plays, and music. Tuesdays at 10:30 am.
Toddler Times 3 - Three year olds enjoy stories, rhymes, finger plays and music. Tuesdays at 11:30 am
Preschool Story Time - Music, read-alouds, activities, and occasional games and crafts. Thursdays at 11 am.
