The North Providence Library is offering the following programs and resources for the fall:

Meditation classes are held every Thursday at 6:30pm.  Classes are for adults only and are sponsored by Golden Crest Nursing Centre.

Movie matinees are held every Wednesday at 11am.  Newly released films are intended for adult audiences and are free and open to the public.  Bring a friend and a snack.

The library has started showing foreign films twice each month.  Join us on Friday, September 8th and 22nd at 2pm.  These films are intended for adult audiences and are free and open to the public.  Bring a friend and a snack.

We are now showing classic films twice a month.  Join us on Friday, September 15th and 29th, at 2pm.  These films are intended for adult audiences and are free and open to the public.

Every third Tuesday of each month, there will be a free screening of a first episode in a TV series.  Come September 19th at 6pm.  No registration is necessary.  Bring a friend and a snack.

Our Knitting and crochet groups meet on Tuesdays from 10am to noon and on Wednesdays from 7 to 8:30pm.

Board game night is held every Monday starting September 11th at 6pm.  Families are encouraged to join in the fun.  The library has many games and puzzles for use, but patrons are welcome to bring their own.  No registration is necessary.

The Last Friday of the Month Book Club will be meeting at 11am on Friday, September 29th.  New members are always welcome.  Come and share a book you have enjoyed with fellow book lovers.

The Library has started a coloring and conversation club called Color Me Calm.   A selection of free coloring pages will be provided to participants.  The club runs on Tuesdays, October 17th and 31st and November 14th  from 12:30pm to 1:30pm.

The next meeting of the Mystery Book Club will be Tuesday, October 3rd at 7pm.  The book to be discussed is “A Murder in Time” by Julie McElwain.  Copies of the book are available at the Circulation Desk.

The Library is now subscribing to Zinio for Libraries, making digital magazines available to patrons.  Zinio for Libraries offers unlimited access to 50 digital magazines without limits.  Current and some back issues are available.  Manage a personal collection by creating an account.  Read instantly on a computer of media device.  An active and updated North Providence Library card is required.
